GARMIN WALK-A-THON — Event Flow & Rules (General)
Event Flow
• On arrival, proceed to the Walk-a-thon Registration Desk
• Collect your official jersey at the registration desk.
• Walk, track, and enjoy the designated route.
•Wearing the official event jersey is mandatory for participation in all sports and activities. Participants without the official jersey will not be permitted to take part or qualify for any rankings or prizes.
Before You Arrive
• Hydrate well, have a light meal, and avoid strenuous activity beforehand.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather‑appropriate clothing; consider sunscreen, a cap, and sunglasses.
• Bring a refillable water bottle; refill points may be available on-site (subject to venue facilities).
• If you have a medical condition, consult your physician before participating.
On‑Site Services
• An Information/Help Desk will be available for queries and Lost & Found.
• First‑aid and medical support will be on standby; notify the nearest marshal if you or someone needs assistance.
• Bag checks may be in operation. Please avoid bringing prohibited or dangerous items.
During the Walk
• Keep to the marked side of the route and allow faster walkers to pass safely.
• Respect the environment—use waste bins and avoid littering.
Photography & Media
Event photography and videography may be in operation. By entering the venue, you consent to the use of your image for event reporting and promotional purposes.
Weather & Safety
In case of extreme weather or other safety concerns, the schedule or route may be modified or paused. Follow all announcements from the organizers and marshals.
Accessibility
We aim to make the route suitable for most abilities. If you require assistance or accommodations, please inform the organizers in advance or speak to the Help Desk on-site.
